Mon, Aug 19: Homer, from the spit

Back in Homer, clouds lifted a little in the afternoon and we could see the mountains across Cook Inlet. 

In the evening we went out to the end of the Spit to take pictures.  We saw an otter, apparently in distress.  We told the hotel front desk, they said it was being watched, but could still defend itself, so was not bad enough off to warrant capturing at this time.
