Mon, Aug 5: Talkeetna

Talkeetna also had a general store, with cans stacked up to the ceiling, a section for fishing supplies and one for hunting supplies.

We ate in the Roadhouse in Talkeetna for the three meals we ate in Talkeetna, very good food, a good bakery as well, nice atmosphere.  Suggest trying the pasty’s and the sourdough pancakes (giant – larger than plate size).  They’ve been using the same sourdough starter since 1902.

We stayed at the Meandering Moose Lodge, Talkeetna.
