Sat, Aug 17: Homer, from the bluff
From
the bluff overlooking Homer, Skyline
Road.
Homer
Spit. A geological term for a bar
extending into the water. The
Homer spit is a 4.5-mile (7.2 km) long piece of land jutting out into Kachemak Bay. It
was pushed into place by now-retreated glaciers.
