At
sea for the day.
We
took photography classes today – one mostly on portrait photography, and the
other on movie making. The professionals
shared their tips, and the movie photographers shared that along with their big
professional movie camera, they also used the GoPro Hero3 camera.
The
chefs carved up vegetables.
There
are lots to do on the ship, including performances in the Atrium. And
of course, there were stage shows put on every night, musicals, comedians, etc.
And
Mary and I stayed away from the art auctions, since last cruise we bought 4
pictures, and really did not want any more.
Mon, Jul 29: Misty Fjords by boat
Good
weather, sunny in 70’s. Arrived
in Ketchikan
We took
an excursion through the Misty Fjords, a boat in and a plane back. We did this the last time we were here; it is
such a beautiful ride.

is a volcanic plug, created when magma hardened within a vent on an active
volcano.
A
column of igneous rock formed by congelation of lava in the conduit of a
volcano and later exposed by the removal of surrounding rocks.
Cliffs are 3,000 feet high, fjord is 900 feet deep here
Not
as many waterfalls, because they have had such nice days, no rain.
